Filing Taxes as a Writer
It’s that time of year again… TAX time! If you’re a freelance writer, you’ll need to report your income for 2010. Depending on how much you made and who you worked with, you’ll likely receive a 1099 form and need to fill out certain schedules and forms to properly file as a self-employed individual. Since this time of year can get confusing for many writers, I’ve compiled a list of some tax tips for writers, which will help you not only get organized for the upcoming tax season, but help you keep taxes in mind all year round without a lot of effort!
